Wake-up: 5:40am… This was an odd feeling of victory… since I had actually woke up early!... followed by a slight feeling of sadness since I didn’t get to sleep in!
Normal morning routine….
Coffee: 4 TBSP of SF French Vanilla Creamer + 3 sweeteners… I had a very large mug of coffee… sadly it went south before I finished it all L so I guess in the end I saved some calories?
I was starving this morning! I mean I woke up with the desire to eat the first food item that came my way… I decided to munch a couple of pieces of toast while driving to work to stave off some of my am hunger and get me through until I was settled and able to eat my normal breakfast at my desk….
Breakfast 1: 2 pieces of raisin toast with ½ TBSP of Brummel and Brown
Breakfast 2: 1 cup of Non-Fat Greek Yogurt with 1/3 of a package of Chocolate SF FF Pudding Mix mixed in… Allow to set… mix a little more… enjoy an amazing mousse like breakfast… + 1 small banana on the side…
Snack 1: 2 cups of green grapes
Lunch: 2 98%FF Hebrew National Hot Dogs + 1 cucumber with 2TBSP of Roasted Red Pepper Hummus + 1 bag of Veggie Straws
This was my first ‘Veggie Straw’ experience… They were tasty and reminded me of munchos… You’ll notice I didn’t have buns or bread and that is because for my carbohydrate for this meal I had the ‘veggie straws’. The only downside is they are fried. They left a slightly greasy feel to my lips that I didn’t enjoy. I used to never notice that feeling when eating fries or chips now it is something that stands out instantly. I definitely would try these again.
Snack 2: 1 medium gala apple + 1 cup of coffee with 1 TBSP of powdered non-dairy creamer
Exercise: 15minutes of weight lifting + 30 minutes on the treadmill + 20 minutes on the recumbent bike = a get on track for the week sweatfest.
Here are a few photos from my drive home:
Dinner: I’ve been craving Chinese food so I decided to take my dinner in that direction… Luckily… in the depths of the deep freezer lurked a bag of teriyaki stir fry with noodles! YAY! I had a big bowl of this and a cup of jasmine green tea… I love tea… This new tea recently purchased is a little hard to come by but if you can get your hands on it getcha sum!
Tips on tea: 1 DO NOT put your tea bag in boiling water!
This will cause your tea to scorch and taste bitter... instead
bring water to a soft boil... allow to cool approx 5 minutes...
then brew to desired strength!
Tip 2: Tea bags can typically be brewed twice.
Thought for the day: I often hear my friends complain about certain aspects of their bodies. Today I was really thinking about how God has created each one of us different and unique. Me for example… I’m quick to put on pounds in my tummy area, but I lose pounds first in my butt and thigh area… often leaving me disproportioned… But God… He designed me that way for a reason… I don’t know and will probably never understand what that reason is… However that is how He created my body to react to extra calories consumed in gluttony… What happens… the devil gets in our heads… begins to tell us our bodies aren’t right… we aren’t good enough… then we start a vicious cycle of self-doubt… I don’t know about you, but when I start to feel down about something it’s like the hunger pang get stronger and stronger… the more I want to eat… really it’s just my body looking for comfort… Fighting this is the hardest part… This is where I struggle… I’m learning more and more to find comfort in God and to leave food behind… I think it’s finally all sunk in…
Late night snack: 1 Fage yogurt…. I am lovin me some Greek Yogurt! Mmm probiotics!
Day's End:
Praises: I’m so thankful today for Heavenly Father who always picks up the phone when I call. Day or night… Darkness or light… No matter what I’ve done he doesn’t get angry at me. His love for me is unconditional. No matter how many times I may fail Him… He is always faithful in His love for me… May you be blessed my friends… Find your comfort and peace in His love for you… His blood was spilled so we may be free and cleansed as white as snow…
Xoxo
