Today is the first day of the rest of my blogging life.
Weekends are the hardest for me when it comes to eating healthy and getting some physical activity in. M-F tends to be easier because I have a set schedule for food, exercise, fun, etc... Then the weekend comes and *bam* I'm sleeping late, shoveling garbage in my mouth like my body is a toxic waste dump, and reverting back to old unsavory behaviors!
Today 8-6-11 I attempt to change that! (This doesn't end so well)
Wake up time: 8:30am
Weigh-in: no major changes 259lbs... why is this not going down? *grumbles*
Time to flush out those toxins lying around in my body from its nightly recharge!
16oz of ice cold lemon water!
Now time for my morning wake up juice!
8oz of coffee + 1Tbsp SF nondairy creamer +
1/2shot of SF caramel + 2 sweeteners=
A beautiful morning every time!
I am nothing without my coffee!
Usually.... I'm a BIG fan of a substantial and hearty breakfast or at a minimum a hearty protein/fiber shake! Today I wasn't feeling it. My tummy was grumbling and I wasn't feeling too hot. So I decided to run some errands. I forgot to stash a fiber one bar or some almonds in my purse and I thought certain disaster was in my immediate dieting future. I however remained composed and finished all my tasks. Once I walked through the front door I threw together a quick sandwich....
breakfast/snack/lunch=
Sandwich= 2 slices of SaraLee 45cal multi-grain bread+6oz of chicken and MUSTARD!
8 mini pickles
1 mini box of raisins
It was semi nutritious... not my best work by far but much better then hitting a drive thru!
Mustard was exaggerated for a reason---- I am forcing myself to heart mustard. It's a spicy brown mustard and it was tangy, spicy, and semi-creamy. I really am a miracle whip gal. I was raised on the stuff! However.... I am learning to branch out when it comes to dressing my sandwiches with lower calorie options.
There is a Fat Free MircaleWhip it is ok it is also expensive. There will be times where I will splurge!
You will also notice the overabundance of mini pickles. I do heart pickles. I also heart anything mini. I view pickles as very filling with few calories. I do not watch my sodium or I probably wouldn't eat so many!
The mini raisins were purchased today. 45 calories a box and the boxes are jam packed. I really wanted something sweet so it helps cut that craving!
Of course because I skipped breakfast I'm starving... mmm fiber one bar.... so chocolatly filling wind causing goodness.....
I'm trying to save some serious calories for dinner. We are going out to celebrate my BF’s b-day early. mmmmm I'm drooling already thinking about dinner. Naples Spaghetti House has been a favorite of mine since I was a teen... The fresh Italian bread, homemade dressing, and giant meatballs call my name. Unfortunately because it is a local joint they have no nutritional values available. I'm going to just wing it tonight and call it my weekly cheat meal!

DINNER!
utoh! I'm done eating for the day and the results are horrifying! I love Naples…. Mmmm pasta the bread oh my! Warning the pictures you are about to see are not diet friendly in any way shape or form. Once I estimated the calories I got a little misty eyed….. Here’s what dinner and dessert looked like!

All in all I didn't do horrible.... However I did tell my BF for the one millionth time that we need to stop eating out!

I'd say you did waaaay better than I did today. I had a piece of leftover pizza at 11:30, followed by a reuben, fries, and 2 beers @ 5:00 at Bocktown! I did go to Aldi and got a bunch of veggies, fruits, and fit & active stuff, so I am ready for the week! Keep up the good work! :)
